With the new dashboard, some people may not find some important information, so I am copying it here-
Geocaching is a light and fun activity. Let's all work to keep it that way.
Before you send me an email:
If you send me an email about a cache, make sure you include a link to the cache (preferred) or the GCxxxxx code of the cache at a bare minimum in the email. Please do not assume I know which cache you are talking about, even if I've posted a note on it recently or emailed you about it. If you don't include the link or the GCxxxxx code then your answer will likely be delayed while I email you back to ask for the information.
If you need or hope for a response, please make sure you have the box "send my email address along with this message" checked so I can reply.
Please note: I only will respond to emails. If you sent me something through the Message Center (note that there is no link on my profile page to the Message Center), you'll need to re-send your message via email. You can use the link on my profile page or send a direct email to artdoneMN@gmail.com.
Pre-checking your listing/coordinates:
I can pre-check the coordinates of a planned location for you if have something unique in mind. Please be patient, as we do these checks as our schedules allow. Publishing caches that have been submitted for review is our first priority. If you want me to check coordinates, please:
1. Create your cache page. It can be blank, except for the coordinates. This reserves your location.
2. Don't enable the page for review
3. Email me a link to the cache page (or the GCxxxxx code if you don't know how to email a link).
4. I'll respond by placing a reviewer note on the cache page, letting you know if it's good, if I have more questions, or if there are problems.
5. If you do not submit a cache for publishing at that location within 30 days, the location will not be held.
Reviewing your cache submission:
Make sure you read and follow the Geocaching Guidelines before you submit your cache.
Some of the most common errors:
Caches are within 528 feet of a pre-existing cache: You can check for yourself how far you are from other traditional caches by going to your cache page and clicking on the link to "show nearby caches". Unfortunately this won't show you other puzzle or multi cache stages, but it's a good start to keep your distance from other traditional caches. If the distance shown is in feet then you're too close - if it's in miles (ie. 0.1 miles) then you're far enough from that particular cache.
Caches are too close to a railroad: A cache generally must be 150' from the tracks, even if they're rarely or never used (it's still railroad right-of-way).
Commercial issues: A cache listing is non-commercial (we're here to have fun, not to promote a business). The listing generally shouldn't include information about nearby businesses, promote or endorse businesses (ie. "Check out the nearby shop for some excellent ice cream after finding the cache"). Anything business related doesn't belong on the cache page. If you're in doubt then just leave it off.
Bridges: After the I-35 bridge collapse, Minnesota bridges are under additional scrutiny. Bridges are also potential terrorist targets. With those two items in mind, caches generally need to follow the guideline below:
4-lane or interstate (or over 4 lane/interstate) - 100' away (from the driving surface or the supports below)
2 lane major road - 50' to 100' away, depending on setting
I'm also still not comfortable with publishing caches at all that are on or attached to a bridge of any sort that carries vehicle traffic.
Permit issues: Minnesota is full of regulations and permit issues. Make sure you have adequate permission to place the cache. Many parks require a permit before the cache can be published. Save us both time: apply for the cache permit and don't enable your listing for review until you receive it. Forward a copy of your permit to me (my email address is listed above). Park regulations can be found at the MnGCA

Future Publication Requests
If you have a special cache that you want published at a future date, it needs to be submitted for Review a minimum of 5-7 days prior to your requested publication date. When you submit it for Review, include a note stating when you would like it published (date and general time of the day). We will try to accommodate you requests, but cannot make any guarantees. Please keep these requests to a minimum.
Me
My Reviewer profile may not have many finds, but I am an active geocacher in the Twin Cities metro area and have found thousands of caches.
