I have lived and cached in Baltimore, Milwaukee, and St. Louis (in that order). Minneapolis is next on the list. What do I need to know about caching here except that there are unfathomable puzzles aplenty?

As long as you know that Saint Paul is better than Minneapolis, you are all set. Welcome to Minnesota!

Go north. All the best caches are north of the Metro area. I can give you a long list of great caches in the great white north.

But the south side of the metro has top notch caches that are far more attainable by the average cacher. Either way, use the search tool and filter on favorite points. You will find top caches of all types all over the state.

I imagine Milwaukee has some similarities. But - pencils not pens (pens don't work if too cold). Winter friendly hides (up off the ground) are always appreciated. If caching the south metro, better bring a 9 volt battery. Invest in good cache containers; the winter cold makes a lot of plastic brittle. Get a kayak that fits inside your car or plan on doing island caches in the winter. Have fun!

I would encourage you to attend our many events. We typically average 20 geocachers at events.
