If you plan to cancel or reschedule your upcoming Event for any reason, here are the instructions:
1) Archive your Event after posting an Announcement log notifying users of your intention to cancel the Event if you have no intentions of re-scheduling. Once archived, the page cannot be edited.
2) If you plan to reschedule the Event at some time in the future, email one of the MN Reviewers asking to have your Event retracted. This way you have the option of rescheduling it if you want to without creating an entirely new listing. Once a cache page is retracted, anyone who is watching the page or has it bookmarked will not see any communications between you and Reviewers.
If a host reschedules their Event, it would need to go through the review process again.
These instructions are also in line with the instructions Geocaching HQ posted to all Events on 3/13/2020:
For hosts who wish to cancel their Events, we suggest that they: 1. Create an Announcement log to notify users that the Event is cancelled. 2. Archive the listing. 3. If hosts wish to reschedule the Event, submit a new listing.
